Hello everyone!

As if putting blobs of paint onto cotton canvasses and asking people to love you for it wasn't enough, now we're going to write about it as well!

I've been daubing in some shape or form since I was about ten. Always enjoyed catching a mood or a moment, often very badly but occasionally nicely. After a lifetime career in the travel business and then education and finally a stint training in my local ambulance service, I finally kicked my laptop for touch and wandered over to the easel.

It's been fun, tortuous, rewarding and frustrating but above all exciting. Discovering things that make paintings more emotional and satisfying and often failing in the process.

This blog will be about the joys, brick walls, failures and occasional success of a 63 year old man who struggles to tell people 'I'm an artist'.

Another blank canvas. The worst kind...a commission!
